The Day After....
Following the malicious attack I suffered yesterday at Warrior's, I figured today couldn't be worse.
It really wasn't worse, just kinda painful.
The right side of neck is swollen really bad and hurts like a mutha. I find this weird, especially since I got stung on top of my freakin' head. I know what the purpose of bees is, but what about hornets? Honest to God, their only purpose is to sting people and cause them to swell up. I feel like Rosie O' Donnell right now. I'm fat, I'm bloated, I'm cranky, and I like women!
Despite the horror that I incurred yesterday, I ventured out into the realm of frisbee...er, disc golf once again. Clint and I played at Borden (I'm not going back out to Warrior's for quite some time). I shot the shittiest -9 in the history of the course. -9 looks good on paper, right? Yeah, it's all right, but I was -7 after 9 holes. I just went to shit after that. What amazed me is that Clint didn't make a single "IT BURNS!" comment. Amazing. I did't think I'd ever live it down.
Tonight, while on break at work (Hell), I told the story of Thursday's insect nightmare that I endured to one of my brother's buddies. Some girl overheard me and through that I met a female disc golfer. I thought to myself, "That's what this world needs more of!" There's three places you can always find me: home, work, disc golf. The more girls in these places, the better!
Despite that, the worst part of my day is always work. It ruins my day knowing I have to go in. Burnout has hit me like a ton of bricks. I did the same thing today I did Wednesday. I found one these little Home Depot Rubik's cubes they gave out to most employees (of course, I didn't get one), and just took it apart and put it back together. I've got a blister to show for doing this about 150 times. It's disheartening to see that Home Depot Credit Services is busy on a Friday night. There are only two days that it bothers me when it's busy: Friday and Sunday. It just seems like better things could be accomplished on those two days. I may just be upset about not getting the Charter job, but I've got a message for Red and Charter (neither of which will ever see my posts, hopefully anyway): You don't know what you're missing!
Actually, I'm not that upset about the Charter thing, just a little disappointed. It'll probably work out for the best anyway. I'll just ask my homegirl Kathryn if McDonald's is hiring. I think another thing that killed me about working tonight was knowing that Rich was throwing one bodacious shindig and others were having a good time while I was in utter misery. I'm calling in next time!
I also wanted to thank Steve for the props on the game list. It's good to see that someone else is a fan of the phenomenal game that is Castlevania: SOTN. I actually think I'm gonna get off of here and play that right now.
Take it easy, ya'll!
